You Decide: Show Us Your Denim

It's time, dear readers, for you to decide. It's kinda like America Idol, only without the painful facial expressions of Brooke White and the awkward misnomers from Paula Abdul. Okay, this contest is nothing like American Idol, actually, but it's still really exciting! We've narrowed it down to the top two submissions and now you vote to decide who wins "Show Us Your Denim"!

The poll at the top of the left-hand column will be open until Midnight on Thursday and the winner will be revealed in Friday's blog. I've purposely kept the entrants anonymous so as not to bias the judging. If you recognize these items, please don't spill the beans in the comments section!

And if you didn't get around to participating in this contest, I hope the pieces below serve as inspiration. Remember: this week is Goodwill Industries Week, so there's no better time to support Goodwill's mission by donating to and shopping at our retail stores.

Alright, dear readers, here we go with your contestants...

The first entry is a super-cute handbag made from the top of a pair of
children's jeans. The designer loved the embroidery so much that she just had to do something with them! The bag is lined with an old pillow case and the cut off legs were used to make the strap. Click on the image below to get the full detail of the bag.
The second entry is a pair of baby booties made from denim (the tops) and a leather skirt (the bottom). The designer says they look, "Way cute on some little toes," and I've have to agree! Click on the image below to get the full detail of the booties.

And now it's all up to you, dear readers. Bag or booties? Or both? Oops - sorry. You have to choose just one. But I think it's interesting that the best submissions were either made for kids or from kid's clothing. I guess kid's stuff is just cuter, huh? Well have fun making your decision and thanks to everyone who dropped of their denim at Levi's Stores last week. Viva la jeans!
